This Privacy Notice explains what personal information AssembleAtEase LLC collects, how we use and share it, how long it is retained, and the choices and rights available to you. It applies to our website, booking platform, customer and Easer portals, support channels, and related communications.
1. Introduction
AssembleAtEase LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates www.assembleatease.com and provides furniture assembly and home setup marketplace services based on current coverage in your area. This Privacy Notice explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you visit our website, create an account, apply as an Easer, or book services through our Platform.
2. Information We Collect
From Customers:
- Name, email address, phone number, and service address provided when booking
- Service details, scheduling preferences, and booking history
- Payment method details — collected and tokenized directly by Stripe, Inc. We never see or store your full card number; Stripe stores your card securely and we retain only a Stripe customer ID and last-four digits for rebilling purposes
- Messages, support requests, reviews, notes, call or email follow-up records, and photos or evidence connected to a booking, completion, safety report, damage claim, or dispute
From Assemblers (Service Professionals):
- Full legal name, email, phone, city, and state
- Government-issued identity document, selfie, facial identifiers, and related verification data submitted directly to Stripe Identity; AssembleAtEase generally receives verification status and Stripe session identifiers rather than raw document images
- Separate disclosure, authorization, report, and decision records if AssembleAtEase later requires a legally regulated third-party background check. Identity verification is required now; a full background check is not currently completed for every Easer.
- Service categories, experience, and profile information you provide
- Preferred payout method and related earnings-disbursement preferences you provide in the Easer portal
- Bank account, payout, or payment information submitted to our payment processor or otherwise provided for lawful earnings disbursement
Automatically Collected:
- IP address, browser type, device type, and operating system
- Pages visited, time on site, click paths, and referring URLs
- Cookies and local storage (see Section 6 below)
- Advertising and analytics identifiers, consent choice, conversion events, and CRM interaction data when optional cookies are accepted
- Limited technical diagnostics, including error messages, stack traces, page paths without query strings, browser and device type, and performance timing used to identify and repair platform failures. We configure diagnostic monitoring not to intentionally collect form contents, payment details, authentication tokens, or full personal identifiers.
- Hashed visitor identifier, page path, browser user agent, and conversation content when you use Sora, our AI booking assistant
- Push-notification endpoint and encryption keys if an Easer chooses to enable browser notifications
Sensitive data: Depending on the feature used, personal information may include a service address, payment information handled by Stripe, government identification, facial or biometric information handled by Stripe Identity, account credentials, and information contained in safety or damage evidence. We use sensitive data only for the disclosed service, safety, fraud-prevention, identity, payment, or legal purpose and obtain consent where required.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To process bookings, manage payments, and deliver purchased services
- To verify assembler identity before platform approval
- To communicate with you about bookings, receipts, schedule changes, and support
- To send transactional notifications (confirmations, status updates, completion alerts)
- To send promotional communications — you may opt out at any time
- To improve our platform, diagnose technical issues, and analyze usage trends
- To comply with legal obligations, prevent fraud, and enforce our Terms of Service
- To document job completion, investigate safety or damage reports, resolve disputes, and maintain an audit trail
- To operate Sora, answer booking questions, review support quality, and improve response accuracy. Sora may make mistakes and does not make final approval, payout, refund, suspension, or legal decisions.
- To measure advertising and booking conversions when optional cookies are accepted
4. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as described below.
Service Providers
We engage trusted third-party companies to perform functions on our behalf. These providers may access your information only to perform services for us, are contractually required to safeguard it, and may not use it for their own purposes. The categories of providers we work with include:
- Payments and identity — Stripe securely handles payments, card-on-file storage, and Stripe Identity verification. We never see or store your full card number. Stripe Privacy Policy
- Cloud hosting and database — infrastructure providers host our website, files, accounts, database, and security logs.
- Communications — email, text-message, and push-notification providers deliver confirmations, receipts, status updates, and requested alerts.
- Customer relationship management — HubSpot helps manage inquiries, follow-ups, form activity, and waitlist sign-ups when its optional browser tools are permitted.
- Analytics and measurement — Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads conversion measurement help us understand site use and whether advertising led to a booking after optional consent. Advertising-personalization signals are disabled by our consent configuration.
- Error and performance monitoring — Sentry processes limited technical diagnostics to help us detect outages, investigate software errors, and improve reliability. Session replay is disabled. Sentry Privacy Policy
- Artificial intelligence — Anthropic processes messages and recent conversation context sent to Sora so it can generate a response. Do not enter card numbers, government ID numbers, banking credentials, medical details, or other unnecessary sensitive information in chat.
- Background screening — if future screening is required, an authorized consumer-reporting or verification provider may process the information described in a separate disclosure and authorization.
Mobile information. We do not sell or share mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in data, or SMS consent with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. We may provide this information to communications service providers only as needed to deliver messages you requested and operate the SMS program.
Assigned Assemblers
Before an offer is accepted, assemblers receive only the limited job information needed to decide whether to accept it. After an assigned assembler accepts an active booking, we may share your name, service address, appointment and job details, phone number, and email address when needed for access, arrival, delay, or safety coordination. Assemblers are contractually limited to using that information for the active booking and must not retain or use it for off-platform solicitation. Terminal bookings should no longer expose contact details through the Easer portal. We do not sell your personal information to any third party for advertising purposes.
Legal & Safety Disclosures
We may disclose information when we believe in good faith it is necessary to comply with the law, a subpoena, or a government request; to enforce our Terms; to detect, prevent, or address fraud or security issues; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of AssembleAtEase, our users, or the public.
Business Transfers
If AssembleAtEase is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any change in ownership or use of your personal information, and of any choices you may have.
5. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption in transit, row-level security at our database layer, a PCI-compliant card vault for payment data, and token-based authentication for portal access. However, no system is 100% secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.
6. Cookies & Tracking
We use cookies, pixels, and browser local storage for:
- Essential cookies: Session tokens and authentication state (always active)
- Optional measurement cookies: Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads conversion measurement, used to understand visits and booking conversions
- Optional CRM cookies: HubSpot browser tools, used to understand form and inquiry interactions and support follow-up
Optional tools load only after you choose Accept. If you decline, or if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, optional browser tracking remains off. You can change your choice at any time by selecting . Browser settings may also remove stored cookies. Essential security and account storage cannot be disabled through this control.
7. Data Retention
- Booking, payment, tax, payout, refund, and invoice records: at least four years, and longer when required for an active dispute, chargeback, insurance matter, tax examination, or legal hold
- Customer support, messages, reviews, and job evidence: for the life of the related booking and a reasonable period afterward for safety, quality, claims, and legal defense; serious incident and claim records may be retained with the booking record
- Sora chat content: generally up to 30 days for support and quality review, unless a message is preserved because it relates to a booking, safety issue, complaint, fraud concern, or legal hold
- Prospect, waitlist, and marketing records: until consent is withdrawn, the record is no longer needed, or applicable law requires deletion
- Easer application and agreement records: during the relationship and afterward for tax, contract, safety, dispute, and legal requirements
- Push subscriptions: until the Easer disables notifications, the subscription expires, or it is removed as invalid
Stripe controls raw identity-document and selfie retention under its identity-data controls; Stripe states that retention periods can differ for biometric and non-biometric verification data. AssembleAtEase stores verification results and session identifiers and may request redaction when appropriate. Backup copies may remain for a limited recovery period. Deletion requests remain subject to fraud-prevention, security, tax, dispute, and other lawful retention exceptions.
8. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location, you have the following rights:
- Right to Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Right to Correction: Request that we correct inaccurate or outdated information
- Right to Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal retention requirements. To submit a deletion request, email service@assembleatease.com with subject line "Data Deletion Request." We will respond within 30 days.
- Right to Data Portability: Request a machine-readable export of your data by emailing service@assembleatease.com with subject line "Data Export Request."
- Right to Opt Out of Marketing: Click "Unsubscribe" in any marketing email, or email us at any time
- Right to Opt Out: Where applicable, opt out of sale, targeted advertising, or qualifying profiling. AssembleAtEase does not sell personal information and does not currently use personal information for decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
9. Texas Residents
Subject to the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act and its exceptions, Texas consumers may confirm whether we process their personal data; access, correct, or delete it; obtain portable data; and opt out of sale, targeted advertising, or profiling used for decisions with legal or similarly significant effects. Submit a request to service@assembleatease.com with the subject "Texas Privacy Request." We may verify your identity and authority before responding.
If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying to the decision or emailing the same address with the subject "Texas Privacy Appeal" and explaining why the decision should be reconsidered. We will respond within the period required by applicable law and will provide information about contacting the Texas Attorney General if an appeal is denied.
10. Identity, Biometrics & Background Screening
Stripe Identity may compare an Easer’s selfie with a government-issued identity document and may derive facial identifiers or other biometric information for identity verification and fraud prevention. Stripe presents its own notice and consent controls during verification. Easer job readiness currently requires identity verification; identity verification is not a criminal background check and we do not represent that every Easer has completed a full background check.
AssembleAtEase may require additional screening before approval or later while an Easer remains active. Before obtaining a third-party consumer report, we will provide any separate disclosure and obtain any written authorization required by the Fair Credit Reporting Act or applicable state law. When required, we will also provide pre-adverse and adverse-action notices before relying on report information to deny or limit work.
To ask about biometric processing, request that we seek eligible Stripe Identity redaction, withdraw consent for future verification, or request an alternative verification method, email service@assembleatease.com with the subject "Identity Privacy Request." Withdrawing or refusing processing required to verify identity may prevent job readiness, but it will not retroactively authorize another use.
11. California Residents — CCPA
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) / CPRA:
- The right to know what personal information we collect, use, disclose, and sell
- The right to delete your personal information
- The right to correct inaccurate personal information
- The right to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information
- The right to limit certain uses and disclosures of sensitive personal information, where applicable
- The right to non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising. To exercise your CCPA rights, email service@assembleatease.com with subject line "CCPA Privacy Request."
12. Children's Privacy
Our platform is not directed to individuals under age 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 18, contact us immediately and we will delete it promptly.
13. Third-Party Links
Our website may link to third-party sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to review their policies.
14. Changes to This Notice
We may update this Privacy Notice periodically. We will post the revised notice and update the date above. If a material change requires consent under applicable law, we will request it before using information for that new purpose.
